Therapy for professionals who need a therapist who understands the pressure behind performance.
I work with physicians, healthcare professionals, attorneys, military members, first responders, executives, and other professionals navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, trauma, PTSD, and substance use.
You are used to figuring things out yourself.
You are used to solving problems, meeting high expectations, and being someone other people can rely on.
You know how to push through. You've probably gotten pretty good at it.
But sometimes the strategies that helped you succeed stop working. You may be exhausted, disconnected, anxious, stuck, or questioning why success doesn't feel the way you expected it to.
Therapy can help you understand what's happening and determine what needs to change.
Common reasons to seek therapy
You may be functioning well on paper while feeling increasingly overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck. Sometimes the strategies that helped you succeed for years stop working as well as they used to.
Therapy can help you understand what's changed, identify the patterns keeping you stuck, and figure out what needs to be different.
Anxiety, Burnout, & Perfectionism
You know how to work hard and get things done, but the constant pressure to perform is starting to take a toll on your well-being, relationships, or ability to enjoy your life.
Professional Identity & Life Transitions
Your career may have once felt like a clear part of who you are. Now you're questioning what you want, where you're headed, or whether the life you've built still fits.
Trauma & PTSD
Something you've experienced may continue to affect you long after the event itself, leaving you feeling on edge, disconnected, or unable to move forward in the way you want.
Substance Use & Recovery
You may be questioning your relationship with alcohol or other substances, considering a change, or working to maintain a recovery you've fought hard to build.
Therapy should go somewhere
I don't believe people should remain in therapy indefinitely without knowing what they're working toward.
We establish goals together, identify the patterns that are getting in the way, and use evidence-based interventions to create meaningful and sustainable change.
I will ask questions. I will challenge patterns. I will provide direct feedback. And when I think something is important to consider, I'll tell you.
My goal is to work myself out of a job.
I’m Katie.
I'm a licensed professional counselor and addiction counselor with more than a decade of experience working in behavioral health, including extensive experience with substance use, trauma, and professionals navigating high-pressure environments.
I've spent much of my career working with people who are accustomed to being capable, responsible, and relied upon by others. I understand that asking for help can feel particularly uncomfortable when you're used to being the person who has it together.
My approach is personal, direct, and grounded in evidence-based treatment. I won't simply tell you what you want to hear, and I don't believe therapy should be a place where you talk about your week indefinitely without knowing what you're working toward. I will ask questions, challenge patterns, explain what I'm seeing, and work with you to determine what needs to change.
I genuinely enjoy this work. I especially enjoy working with people who are curious about themselves, willing to be honest, and ready to understand not just what is happening, but why.
I provide individual telehealth therapy to adults throughout Colorado, including the Denver metro area.

I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to learn more about what brings you to therapy, answer questions about my approach, and determine whether we may be a good fit.
